The 2013 Lexus ES Makes Its Way To Long Island
As one of the most successful luxury car makers in the world, and the top of the list when it comes to the unparalleled ride quality among other things, drivers and critics expect a whole lot when Lexus decides to redesign and engineer any of the models from their popular lineup. Never a car maker to run from a challenge, the all new 2013 Lexus ES more than meets expectations. For this season Lexus broke the mould in terms of design, as athletic and distinguished in the field as ever the new front features the “spindle” design that has received so much attention as well as improvements overall to the body. The engine and drivetrain has been re-tooled to offer better performance and more fuel efficiency, and on that last note Lexus introduces a breakthrough in hybrid performance, the ES hybrid models. Inside drivers will find an array of new and improved luxuries and technologies. It seems like nearly every square inch of the new ES has been scrutinized already, and applauded for innovation and improvements. A few of the areas of improvement of particular note include the new look, the redesigned interior with brighter gauges and more intuitive placement that includes new features like the touch-sensitive panel, the improved fuel efficiency, and of course the hybrid option. All of this and the ES is still one of the most competitively priced performance luxury sedans on the road, starting at a very fair $36,100.
How has the exterior of the 2013 Lexus ES improved
Since the line’s introduction ES models have been among the favorite for those luxury drivers looking for a whole lot of sporty styling with their luxury. This may be the most attractive look yet with the incorporated hour-glass-designed front from Lexus which improves performance while truly standing out in the style category, smooth and perfectly engineered lines that make for a more aerodynamic vehicle, and the wedged profile akin to coupe sportster but with all of the convenience of a sedan. The forward-leaning body and side stance hint at the power and athleticism of the engine under the smoothly finished hood. Models share the majority of exterior features but the hybrid does add a tasteful rear trunklid spoiler and replaces the dual exhaust with a smooth bumper area. 17-inch wheels come standard and drivers can choose the 18-inch upgrades.
